About The Author
Ivan’s Book:
Ivan Erickson first became inspired to begin writing his religious fiction novel series, “Song of the Storm Winds,” in 1994. He had originally entitled the work, “There are Storm Winds Created to Punish,” from Sirach: 39:28, but had changed to the current title some time later. The great length of time that the novel took to complete was mainly due to the fact that the writer had become inspired to write a religious book, and much prayer, research and dedication was needed in his sojourn to Truth and the Light.
Initially written in longhand on 50, 8-1/2” x 14”, legal pads with 10+ years of dedication, “Song of the Storm Winds” was created. Ivan educated himself during this time period on the Sacred Scriptures. He also studied related readings such as, “Witness to Hope” (the biography of Pope John Paul II), “The Koran,” “The World’s Great Religions,” some works by Mother Teresa, Billy Graham and Hal Lindsey, “The Signature of God,” “Mormon Doctrine,” and an extensive list of other religious readings.
Utilizing words of wisdom and understanding from the Holy Bible - which have been poured forth from God through his Son, Jesus Christ, in the form of the Holy Spirit - enabled Ivan to write about some of those mysteries of God, which are hidden in the depths of God’s sea of Truth and Light. Ivan has used numerous Biblical quotations in his book, as the basis of his premises – as well as numerous extracts from other sources – in order that he not lead so much as one precious soul away from the Lord – but that he would instead, help lead others to the Truth and Light. Thus, he has judicially used the words of God, rather than his own surmises. For the LORD has said, “Their own opinion has led many astray.”
From The Author:
“…Now, in the golden years of my life, beloved reader, I sometimes sit alone on my deck in the waning twilight, feeding peanuts to the darting Stellar’s Jays or to the little squirrels, as they sidle towards me hiding under their tails.
I oft times gaze upon the setting sun or on the advancing STORM WINDS, and reminisce of my days gone by, on my fruitless chase after the materialistic winds, of the good deeds and charitable works that I should have accomplished, and on the precious life in Christ that I should have led before my conversion, of my life that should have been.
I will reminisce in sadness and remorse on those wasted weeks, months, years, and decades of my life all my days without end,
and forever… more.”
Ivan’s Family:
Ivan Erickson resides in Washington with his cherished wife, Patricia, and with their three beloved sons and daughter, and other beloved grandchildren and family members - all living in close proximity to Seattle. Ivan writes and reflects on past times, present times, and new adventures in writing. His main goal is to continue his work with others as disciples of Christ, and pray that God’s Spirit may inspire people of all faiths and ethnicities to seek and find the faith and love of Jesus Christ – to seek and find the Truth and Light of God - who is waiting patiently for each of us, that we may all experience His love, joy and happiness in heaven, for all eternity without end.
It is the author’s fervent plea to all people of all faiths and ethnicities of the world that they come to the only Truth and Light in existence. “Song of the Storm Winds” is his bio, his treasure that he passes on to each of you beloved ones, now and forever… more.
Erickson’s Food For Thought:
“The words of the Holy Bible are poured forth from the infinite spring of life-giving water, from the depths of God’s eternal wisdom. They flow forth through His Only Begotten Beloved Son, Jesus Christ - the Prism of God’s Truth and Light - in the form of a rainbow of love from His Holy Spirit upon all mankind for our salvation. They are words to be heard and heeded by those with ears to hear and eyes to see, but to be veiled from others in darkness by Satan - that those who refuse to see or hear may continue to believe the fatal lie that the darkness engulfing them is actually the light.” ~ Ivan Erickson.
